  • Definition, Classification, Specification and Uses of Galvanized Rectangular Tube

 Denifition

Galvanized rectangular tube refers to the use of hot-dip galvanizing or electro-galvanizing process, and a layer of zinc is plated on the surface of the rectangular tube. The square tube here refers to two steel pipes: square tube and rectangular tube.

Square pipe is a name for square pipe, that is, steel pipes with equal sides. It is rolled into strip steel after process treatment. Generally, the strip steel is unpacked, flattened, crimped, and welded to form a round tube, then the round tube is rolled into a square tube and then cut to the required length. Usually 50 pieces per pack. Square tubes are divided into seamless and welded seams.
Rectangular tube is a hollow strip of steel. When the bending and torsion strength are the same, the weight is lighter, so it is widely used in the manufacture of mechanical parts and engineering structures. It is also often used to produce various conventional weapons, barrels, and shells.

 Classification of rectangular pipes

steel pipes are divided into two categories:

seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes (seam pipes). According to the cross-sectional shape, it can be divided into round pipes and special-shaped pipes. Round steel pipes are widely used, but there are also some square, rectangular, semicircular, hexagonal, equilateral triangle, octagonal and other special-shaped steel pipes.

 Rectangular tube specifications
Calculation method of theoretical weight of rectangular steel pipe: (side length + side length)×2×wall thickness×0.00785×length
Square tube: caliber F10*10----100*100--300*300---600*600mm, wall thickness 0.5mm-25mm, length: 5m-12.5m

Rectangular tube: caliber J10*15-----150*50----300*400—600*550mm, wall thickness 0.5mm-25mm, length: 5m-12.5m

 Uses
Galvanized rectangular pipe is very commonly used in galvanized steel, and is used as a pipeline for transporting fluids, such as oil, natural gas, water, gas, steam, etc.
